Hi, I am Sagar Patel
In the year 2000, I was just a 10-year-old with a big dream. On a family picnic, I begged for a camera to freeze those moments in time. But my parents insisted on renting – practical, they said. Determined, I saved up my pocket money for two whole years. Finally, in 2002, I proudly owned a Kodak 35mm film camera, all for just 499 INR. That little camera kickstarted my journey as a family photographer. It wasn't fancy, but it was mine. Another year of extra chores later, I got my hands on a Nikon P510, my first digital companion. College days turned into my unofficial photography studio – every weekend capturing candid shots that became everyone's WhatsApp and Facebook profile pictures.
As the years rolled on, my passion for photography grew. I explored weddings, wildlife, and the beauty of travel. Canon stole my heart – the 5D Mark III was my crush, but the EOS R, a sleek mirrorless wonder, became my first Canon. Being a hobbyist, I happily snapped away at events and weddings for friends and family, all for free until 2023. Then, a layoff wave hit me. After a decade of the 9-to-5 hustle, I decided it was time for a change.
Rewind to 2012 when I birthed the Sunday Photoshoot facebook page. Why Sunday? Well, as a full-time student, weekends were my only shot at photography. Now in 2024, that page has grown into over 38 projects in the past year. From that tenacious 10-year-old to a lead photographer, the journey has been nothing short of a captivating story.
